The Ashanti Regional Police Command has busted three persons suspected to be involved in street robberies in the Kumasi Metropolis.
These three (3) armed robbers according to the police in a reported story, were apprehended on an impression of different forms of robberies and assets of looted things.
Communicating the Journalists in the media segment on Thursday, September 3, 2020, the Regional Police Commander of Ashanti region, COP Kwesi Mensah Duku narrated that, the three (3) armed robbers were all males and very young in age.
The suspected armed robbers were all in the names of Akwesi John, Joshuah Afriyie, both were said to be 18 years in age, and one Joseph Adongo, also 25 years of age, all apprehended right after several forms of about five (5) robberies reported by residence at Dichemso Plaza, Moshie Zongo, Krofrom and its neighbouring surroundings.
According to reports, the Commander of Police, Kwasi Mensah Duku confirmed that Akwasi John and Joshua Afriyie were apprehended on September 1, 2020, when they headed to attack a National Security Operative with a pickle and a Trimmer at Dichemso Plaza, on the Kumasi road.
Mr. Joseph Adongo who was said to be on operation at the Moshie Zongo was also apprehended at the Moshie Zongo Methodist church after pouncing on some inhabitants with a foreign-made gun. The COP Commander added that, even though the reckons have confessed the crime, they will soon prosecute them before court for criminal behaviour.
Three suspects according to police were arrested on suspicion of several counts of robbery and possession of stolen items.
