Atwima Mponua youth for development has called the first gentleman of the Land, Nana Addo Danqwah Akuffo-Addo to favour the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Mponua district to continue the massive developmental projects.

In a press conference addressed by the above group name convenor, Hon.
Kwadwo Asante said, Honorable Williams Darko DCE, has given the district unprecedented developmental projects ever the last three and half years. This came to light when the Atwima Mponua youth for development accessing and comparing the performance of today administration and previous administration.

The Atwima Mponua District Assembly in the Ashanti Region is one of the assemblies that performed creditably in infrastructure, social development, and improvement of peoples’ living standards for the past years. For almost four years now, the district assembly has undertaken more than 200 infrastructures and social development projects in education, health, agriculture, sanitation, housing, water, and roads.

On Education, the DCE and it’s Assembly has constructed more different infrastructural projects in our Basic and Senior High Schools across the district. The assembly has Expanded School Feeding to cover additional schools as against 49 schools since the establishment of the District in 2006 to 2016.

The assembly also procured and Supplied Mono and Dual desk to Basic Schools across the District and provided financial support to many students across the District.

On Health, under the Honorable Williams Darko Administration, the Assembly constructed different CHPS compounds in selected Communities which Anweafutu is included. Again, the assembly also provided hospital beds to selected health facilities.

On Sanitation, they Constructed many Institutional and Community Toilets. In addition, they Constructed 19 different Small water systems in selected Communities.On Electrification, the assembly Connected about 124 Communities to the National grid and supplied and Installed many pieces of Streetlights across the district.

On roads, 176km have been awarded on contract, Routine Maintenance and feeder roads. In the first time, under the able leadership of Honorable Williams Darko’s leadership as DCE, Atwima Mponua had a tire road which is Mpasatia to Bedaabour, Kwanfifini to Kotokuom is ongoing, Amangoase to Ntobroso-Achiase, Gyereso to Anansu, Fowaa Nkwanta to Bayerebon, Nyinahin town roads, Mpasatia town roads.

On Social Protection, the assembly increased LEAP Beneficiaries households.Through the efforts of Williams Darko popularly known as Show boy, this district district Assembly block is nearly completion.

The group said they are very happy and thanked President Nana Addo Danqwah Akuffo-Addo for bringing Williams Darko adding that “he respects the youth, and always pay attention to our needs and concerns” Some elements within the Constituency Executives allegedly to be seriously working against the DCE.

They resorted to peddling lies against the DCE in the media were once members of the friends of some personalities they want to become DCE in Atwima Mponua district.
