Active COVID-19 cases in Ghana fall to 413

Ghana’s COVID-19 active cases have recorded a sharp fall from 530 to 413 as of October 1, 2020.

According to the latest update by the Ghana Health Service (GHS), 30 new cases have been recorded, culminating in an overall caseload of 46,656.

The death toll still remains at 301.

In all 45,942 recoveries and discharges have been confirmed since COVID-19 was first imported into the West African country mid-March 2020.

Regional cases breakdown:

Greater Accra Region – 23,954

Ashanti Region – 10,969

Western Region – 2,968

Eastern Region – 2,412

Central Region – 1,927

Bono East Region – 781

Volta Region – 672

Western North Region – 638

Northern Region – 547

Ahafo Region – 527

Bono Region – 511

Upper East Region – 295

Oti Region – 242

Upper West Region – 90

Savannah Region – 62

North East Region – 19
