Rockson Bukari, the former presidential minister of state, says he is ready to forgive Edward Adeti if the journalist asks for his forgiveness.
According to him, even after his job had forced him to resign from his presidential position, he held nothing against Edward Adeti.
Today, if he calls me to say, ‘Daddy, I’m sorry,’ I’ll forgive him and bless him. I do not hold anything against him,’ said Rockson.
He made this known whiles speaking during an interview with A1 Radio, a Bolgatanga-based radio station monitored by mynewsghana.
On a leaked tape, Rockson Bukari was caught trying to bribe a journalist to suppress a report.
When he was working as the Upper East Regional Minister, the leaked tape included what was reported to be a shocking story about a Chinese mining company.
Rockson Bukari, who said he was a principled person, suggested that he quit in order for the President to have his comfort to work on if he was compelled to resign his position.
In order to give His Excellency [President Akufo-Addo] the peace of mind to work, I decided to resign. Of my own accord, I did so. No one has compelled me to resign. No one will pressure me to reign. On theory, I resigned because I wanted to help my president.’
