Akuapem North MCE Sacked For Not Supporting MP

President Akufo-Addo has sacked the Municipal Chief Executive of Akuapem North Dennis Aboagye.

Barima Sarpong Awuah Asiedu- Larbi has been nominated to succeed the Akuapem North MCE.

The MCE described as very hard-working and affable loved by many of the Party Executives from Constituency, to Region and National as well supporters was sacked for alleged friction between him and the Member of Parliament for the area Nana Ama Dokua who doubles as a Deputy Information Minister.

Also, nominated is a former Takoradi Constituency chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) Abdul Mumin Issah as the new Metropolitan Chief Executive for Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly.

The nomination of Mumin comes following the unfortunate demise of the late mayor Anthony KK Sam.

Clement Opoku Gyamfi has also been nominated as new DCE for Amansie South.

In a statement, local government minister Hajia Alima Mahama directed the regional ministers to oversee the confirmation of the President’s nominees.
