Cape Coast North MP shares ‘gabga’ to electorates to solicit for votes

Member of Parliament (MP) for Cape Coast North and Deputy Minister for Works and Housing, Barbara Asher Ayisi has shares aluminium basins to the people of Cape Coast as part of her campaign tour in the constituency.

Photos of aluminium basins branded in NPP colours flooded social media with many mocking the Member of Parliament for using ‘gabga’ to buy votes.

Hon.  Barbara Asher Ayisi was at the centre of controversies when a video circulated on social media where she was pictured sharding stacks of cash to some macho men at Abura in Cape Coast.

Many slammed her for hiring the services of these macho men to cause mayhem ahead of the 2020 elections.

She however denied thed allegations saying that the donation was part of her kiind gesture she did to thed body builders in her constituency.

“I don’t know why people are so angry about the cash I presented to my own constituency. I should rather be commended for redeeming my promise,” she defended.

She added that “I don’t know why the video came out. It could be NPP or NDC but I’m okay and don’t see anything wrong with it.”
