Contesting Akufo Addo in the 2020 General elections is waste of money and resources — Dominic Bosompim

Dominic Bosompim the NPP chairman for Odotobri Constituency is calling on the Clergy, Chief Imam, the Ghana Bar Association and other state Agencies to advice all political parties in the country to step-down and pave way for the two major political parties to contest in the 2020 general elections.

When asked about the Candidateship of John Dramani Mahama the flag bearer of the major opposition party, “Dom Peace” as he is affectionately called emphasized that, since Ghanaians have tested the leadership of Mahama and shown their displeasure of his governance by massively voting him out, he suggests John Mahama should also step-down as a good statesman to save the Electoral Commission and Ghana as a whole from outrageous expenses in running elections.

Talking to the Press during a Press Conference on monday, Mr. Bosompim metaphorically explained that, election is like a football game once you are substituted in a match you cannot play that game until the 90 minutes for that match is over.

According to Dom Peace, it is becoming a norm for Ghanaian electorates to give each ruling party eight years to govern before if possible, there will be a change.

Since the National Democratic Congress (NDC) did not change their flag bearer, he sees no need why John Mahama should contest Nana Addo as he feels the Akufo Addo led government is steering the nation in the right direction and was substituted by the electorates and replaced with Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

He passionately ended his speech saying “A substituted player can never get on the field of play”.
