Member’s of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) from the ten regions have threw their weight behind Madam Araba Bentsi Enchill a former national vice chairperson for the national chairmanship position.
A statement signed by Mr Peter Caesar Kwegyir Aggrey,a chairman of the cape coast north constituency convention people’s party (CPP), said they believed that she has the right credentials and political credibility to become the party’s chairperson.
Speaking at the press conference after close door meeting held at cape coast with party executives and supporters comes from the ten regions have decided,they need a leadership and direction in the affairs of the great party to steer party back on truck and being in a good position to reclaim preeminent position in the democratic governance.
In an interview with 3news Kwame Kakraba central regional correspondent, according to them,the time has come for the convention people’s party to transform itself into a much more viable alternative to the two party party monotony of NDC – NPP administration which have borne no tangible fruits for this country.
He stated that ‘Comrade Enchill has remained committed, dedicated and loyal to the cause of the great party’, she is the person who could increase membership and bring victory for the party.
Mr Aggrey stated that,it was during Madam Araba Bentsi Enchill tenure of office in 2006 to 2010 as party national vice chairperson that build the party consensus to achieve the positive results, currently a member of national disciplinary committee.
“Aside from the national,she served as the cape coast constituency and central regional chairperson for two terms and was her own resources party secure offices in all the constituencies in the region”.
Mr Peter Caesar Kwegyir Aggrey called on all members of party to rally behind Madam Araba Bentsi Enchill to restore the party CPP to its proper place.
