Members of pro National Democratic Congress (NDC) vigilante group “The Hawks” have vowed to resist any attempt from members of ruling NPP vigilante groups Delta Force and Invisible Force to intimidate NDC party members in the coming 2020 general elections.

The NDC in the 2016 election targeted to secure at least one million votes in the Ashanti Region which is the ruling NPP’s stronghold but at the end of the polls, the NDC’s votes reduced polling 497,235 representing 23.02%.

Ashanti Regional Executives after the elections elections disclosed that members of the party in the region didn’t come out to vote due to intimidation of NPP pro Vigilante group Delta Force and Invisible Force.

The leader of The Hawks, Wayo speaking in an exclusive interview with Abusua Fm’s Osei Kwadwo urged members of Delta and Invisible forces to concentrate on protecting their ballot boxes and not dare to intimidate NDC members.

According to Wayo, members of the Hawks are prepared to protect ballot boxes during 2020 election and protect NDC members from being intimidated.

“Delta Force and Invisible Force members intimidated NDC members because members of the Hawks were angry and we didn’t work for the party during 2016 elections. This time around we are working for the party and nothing can stop us from protecting ballot boxes and our party members. We are not afraid of anything. It was so pathetic that our members couldn’t come out to vote when the party was in power. The Hawks are back and our party members will come out to vote massively for NDC in 2020 election. We will match members of Delta Force and Invisible force boot for boot” Wayo said.

He added that members of the Hawks are for peace but they will crush Delta force and Invisible force members if they attempt intimidating NDC members.
