Member of Parliament (MP) for Klottey-Korle constituency, Dr Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings joined the campaign team of former President John Dramani Mahama during its tour of the Greater Accra Region on Wednesday.
First daughter of the founder of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Jerry John Rawlings was seen canvassing for support for the candidature of former President John Mahama from delegates in her constituency as she took the stage to explain to them the need to vote for him.
According to her, Mahama stands tall among the other contenders and called on delegates to vote for him as the party’s flagbearer ahead of the 2020 polls.
Dr Zanetor is among Ninety-Four (94) out of the 106 minority Members of Parliament (MPs) have who have resolved to use their personal resources to campaign for former John Dramani Mahama to ensure that he wins as the flagbearer of the party ahead of the 2020 elections.
“This group, MPs4JM is made up of ninety-four (94) Members of Parliament from the Minority out of a total of one hundred and six (106) who have affirmed and reaffirmed their support for the candidature of John Dramani Mahama. Our support is volitional and of our free will. We have pledged to contribute our time, expertise and personal resource to campaign for His Excellency to ensure a resounding victory in the Presidential primaries and galvanize the entire party around His candidature to wrestle power from the clumsy and inept government of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo”, the statement copied to MyNewsGh.com revealed.
Their justification is that Ghanaians have been bedeviled by the cronyism, nepotism, wanton corruption, super incompetence, reckless acts of violence and the shocking disregard for the rule of law by the President and his appointees.
