Fuel Tanker Truck Accident Causes Panic in Nankese

An accident that involved a fuel Tanker caused panic among residents of Nankese in the Suhum Municipality of the Eastern Region.

On Tuesday, January 12, 2021, a fuel tanker belonging to TT Energy with registration number GM 1201-16 suddenly skidded off the road and nearly plunged into swampy area Sawmill in Nankese on the Suhum to Koforidua Highway.

Residents with shops and houses around the area started running away over fear that the fuel tanker my explode.

However, the timely intervention of personnel from the Ghana Nation Fire Service helped to avert an explosion.

The truck was subsequently towed.
