Ghana records 83 New COVID-19 Cases, 320 Deaths

COVID-19 cases is increasing in Ghana as country has recorded 83 new infections. Active virus cases in the country used to rotate between the three hundred, however; active COVID-19 cases in Ghana now stands at 535.

The latest update by the Ghana Health Service has also revealed that 4 more deaths have been recorded from the virus, increasing the death toll to 320.

Ghana has a total of 47,991 confirmed coronavirus cases of which 47,136 have recovered or been discharged.

According to the GHS, the number of international travelers who have tested positive for COVID-19 at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) since September now stands at 127.

Currently, five regions in Ghana have no active cases, the latest figures from the GHS show.

The regions are North East, Northern, Oti, Savannah and Upper West.

Also, Accra has the highest active coronavirus case count of 331.

Out of the number of active cases, 8 persons are severely ill and 3 persons are in critical condition with 2 on Ventilators.
