Actress Lydia Forson has questioned the Ghana Police Service in Ho as to how they identified the 21 persons arrested belong to the LGBTQI+ community.
21 persons suspected to be members of the LGBTQI+ community were arrested in Ho for what Police describes as an unlawful assembly.
According to the Police these individuals came from across the country for a conference in the Volta Regional capital.
When they were arrested, the Police found books, pamphlets, and other brochures suggesting they are members of the LGBTQI+ community and have since been arraigned before court and have been remanded.
But reacting to this, actress Lydia Forson is shocked how the Police concluded that the 21 persons belong to the LGBTQI+ community.
She in a tweet asked “I genuinely want to know how the police are going to identify member of the #LGBTQ community to arrest them? How do you know someone is gay? Or are we now going to start reporting people like they do in the witch camp or they will do a physical check?”.
