The former Captain of the Ghana Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan has finally returned home to continue with his football career.
According to the striker, it feels good to be back home after several years of playing outside the shores of Ghana.
People from Ghana have been watching me for all these years and finally i am back home where i started.
According to the Baby Jet, as he is affectionately called, being back home brings a lot of memories. Having left the shores of Ghana since 2003 and finally being back home is an awesome experience.
“Sometimes I ask myself, so how am I going to do it? am I going to play as I used to play in the year 2003 or not”? An excited Asamoah said.
Asamoah Gyan has been the top scorer for the Senior National Team, the Black Stars of Ghana. He believes that with his presence in the Ghanaian premier league, the status-quo of football is going to change. He believes that people will be coming to the stadium to watch him play and that would help in getting the premier league to the height everyone aspires it to be.
Asking if it was a tough decision he had to consider, the striker revealed that it wasn’t an easy decision. According to him, he hadn’t played football since January 2020 due to injury. so he had to come to Ghana and then the outbreak of Covid -19 which led to the closure of the airports also affected him.
The Striker was signed by the Legon Cities Football Club when the majority of Ghanaians thought he was going to play for the porcupine warriors.
