International reggae superstar, Anthony Moses Davis, popularly known as Beenie Man has denied testing positive for Covid-19 while in Ghana for the BhimConcert at the Conference Centre.
There are widespread reports that Beenie Man was detained in Ghana by the Airport Police for flouting Covid-19 protocols.
He was reported to have tested positive for covid-19 upon his arrival at the Kotoka International Airport and was asked to isolate but he managed to flout those directives and performed at the Bhimconcert with Stonebwoy and other artists.
Reacting to the claims, the Jamaican superstar said he has never tested positive for covid before. He noted in a tweet that he has been fully vaccinated and has been travelling for the past six months covid free.
He expressed his gratitude to the Ghanaian government, immigration and health team for their support and described Ghana as the best place in the world.
His tweet read: “Mi confuse yf. Update to my fans who are genuinely reaching out. I have no Covid, never caught covid before, tested NEGATIVE for Covid. Been travelling for the past 6 months Covid free. Fully vaccinated. I guess someone wants me to have Covid. Uno weird yf.
“Ghana was amazing. Love & light to stonebwoy and the BhimTeam. The Ghanaian Government, Immigration, Health Team, Small Gad, Freedom, the whole team. Ghana ah the best place inna the world. BhimConcert21 looking fwd to 2022.
