According to Mahama Ayariga, he is not in possession of any medical documents of Mr. Amidu.

However, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong revealed on NET 2 TV that his colleague legislator Mahama Ayariga was in possession of medical documents of Mr. Martin Amidu which indicates that Mr. Amidu went to Germany to seek medical treatment.

This banter follows the resignation of Mr. Martin Amidu as Ghana’s Special Prosecutor.

But speaking on Citi News, Mahama Ayariga has denied claims of being in possession of any such medical records.

He said;

“Let me just put on record that I don’t have any medical records of him [Amidu] being in Germany for treatment.”

Ayariga said when he was being investigated by Martin Amidu,

“a lot of people were sympathetic and met me in the Chamber and often had conversations with me about the case. I don’t recall having a discussion with Hon. Kennedy Agyapong in which I made revelations about medical conditions and treatment in Germany. I will plead that I should be left out of the conversation”.

In a city news interview, Martin Amidu denied the allegations and challenged Kennedy Agyapong to provide the documents if he claims he is in possession of them. According to Mr. Amidu, he has never been to Germany and he is not surprised about the lies that are being peddled by the Assin Central legislator.

Mr. Amidu said;

“I have never been to Germany on any occasion for a medical check-up. I don’t know any German hospital or clinic and therefore, these allegations are false. If he has documents on me having gone for medical treatment in Germany, he should produce them,”

Mr. Amidu said he is ready to provide his passport should anyone want to investigate him with regards to his travel to Germany.

He further said;

“My passports are available, I have not been to Germany,’ he emphasized adding that he rarely has any knowledge at all about the country in question let alone receive treatment there.”
