Kumi Guitar, the Zylofon Media artiste, has said he switched off his radio when he heard Medikal’s track, “Aboa, Woto Nono” being played.
Kumi Guitar, the “I Have A Dream” hitmater, was speaking on the issue of some artiste being wrongly placed under the Hi-Life Category by some award agencies on Zylofon FM’s Showbiz Agenda.
He explained that, he became sad when some pundits on the show were given the opportunity to award some people in the showbiz industry and they mentioned names like Kuami Eugene, Kidi and King Promise under the HighLife Category.
He went ahead to state that certain songs must not be entertained. It was at this stage that he mentioned Medikal’s “Aboa, Woto Nono” track and how he had to switched his radio off. He further explained that he did so because he was with his son at that time and it wasn’t the right content for a child who is learning to speak to be exposed to.
He neither declined nor accepted when the host of the show, Sammy Flex asked whether he’ll be happy should someone write that he condemned Medikal’s song.
Kumi, however, praised Dada Hafco’s “Yebewu Nti Yen Nna” as he says it’s inspirational and has content.
