It is no more news that one female blogger called Ohemaa Candice was arrested on Monday, October 29 this year for writing fake news about Kumawood superstar, Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin that he had knocked down an unknown person at Peace FM.
The two issues – writing the fake story and the arrest have become the talk of the town after they happened. LilWin‘s action against the blogger has landed him in hot waters as some Ghanaian journalists are angry at him.
Some media guys (Sammy Flex and Arnold Mensah of Zylofon Media, Dr. Cann of Happy FM, Jeremy Atus of Mynewsghana.com, Doreen Avio of Multimedia, David Mawuli of Pulse Ghana and Nana Adwo of Atinka TV) who agreed to talk to zionfelix.net spoke strongly against the actor cum musician’s action. Most of the pressmen who had the conversation with this website could not fathom why the comic actor would arrest a blogger who wrote a fake publication about him. To these journalists, LilWin could have sued Candice for the wrongdoing but not to call the police for her to be handcuffed and captured on tape for the world to see.
After rebuking Lilwin for his action, few of them also agreed that the lady’s reportage was wrong. To many who spoke to us, Lilwin’s action has inked his name in the bad books of some media men since they will now be very careful when dealing with him because they would not like to be treated like Candice who was arrested.
Aside from these journalists who spoke on the LilWin-Candice saga with us, few other bloggers we hear have vowed not to publish anything LilWin since he did not treat their fellow well. To them, Kwadwo Nkansah should deal with the police whenever he has anything concerning his brand to promote.
