A young man was arrested after allegedly reporting his uncle to a landlord for allegedly handing him a rifle and telling him to kill the landlord over a land dispute.
According to Francis, his uncle gave him a gun to kill someone over a piece of land. He feigned interest and went ahead to inform the man he was tasked to assassinate.
The man went ahead to report the matter to the police, but Francis claims because his uncle is a friend of the Assin Fosu Police, he was handcuffed and kept behind bars for two months despite presenting a voice recording of his uncle’s murderous instructions to the police.
He says he was tagged as a blackmailer and have since been in and out of court for two years.
Could the real perpetrators be pulling some strings as we sometimes witness in cases of this nature in our Criminal Justice space?
