The General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia has expressed his disappointment in President Akufo Addo’s ministerial reshuffle.
According to him, the size of the government should have been down size but rather it saw an increment.
President Akufo Addo released a list of his first ministerial reshuffle on Thursday, August 9,2018.
Speaking on Accra-based Kasapafm monitored by MynewsGhana.com content editor Odiasempa Kofi Boadi, Asiedu Nketia said his expectation was that twenty ministers will be cut -off and others ministries will be amalgamated to save the country’s purse.
“I’m a little bit disappointed because many people were expecting the size of the government to go down but that didn’t happened”
“A minister has been designated to the office of the Vice president which has never happened before in the country. This sum up to 111ministers” he said.
General Mosquito wondered as to why Mustapha Hamid stayed long overdue at the Information ministry in spite of his abysmal performance as the Minister of Information.
Commenting on the removal of Otiko Djaba from the Gender Ministry, Asiedu Nketia described the new position given to the former Gender Minister as a “good radiance” because she is not fit for a ministerial position.
“The new position given to Otiko is a good radiance because she wasn’t supposed to be a minister in the first place.
