Ghanaian record producer and recording artist, Joseph Bulley, who is known professionally as Magnom has taken some lashes at local rappers who rap in Twi.
According to him, only 2 percent of these Twi rappers do make sense with what they talk about.
Magnom stressed that 98 percent of these local-Twi rappers talk about “unrealistic cartoonish” kinds of stuff that do not make sense.
His comment comes on the back of a musical brawl ensuing between Asem, Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, and Ball J.
His tweet came at a time when producer Ball J threw some jabs at Sarkodie in a diss track. Many were amused at his English and said because Sarkodie cannot speak good English, he is unable to reply to Ball J.
Therefore, Magnon’s tweet comes to paint the picture that rappers who practice their crafts with the use of Twi are substandard.
Was a talent scout and producer on MtnHitmaker for 4 years. We noticed a one way rap pattern of about 98% of the twi rappers. Talking about unrealistic “cartoonish” things.. things that don’t even make sense to the mind when analysed. #BadmanEducation
