Madam Philomena Nyarko who is the wife of the Director of Finance of the International Community School(ICS) this portal confirmed from the family, told Mr Nyarko around 5:30am on Friday that she was taking a walk on the Pakyi campus where they live. She however, decided to leave the campus. At 6:30 am on Friday when Mr Nyarko called to find out why she wasn’t back in the house.
An official complaint has since been lodged with the Kumasi police who indicate that they are currently investigating the matter.
Meanwhile, a statement to staff of the school about the incident reads in part “Dear All,
I trust you are well, although it’s not altogether well with all of us.
This is a difficult news to announce.
I am sure by now, some of you have heard or are aware that Mr Nyarko’s wife (Aunti Philomina) has been missing since Friday morning.
In effect, Mrs Nyarko told Mr Nyarko around 5:30am on Friday that she was taking a walk on the Pakyi campus where they live. She however, decided to leave the campus. At 6:30am on Friday when Mr Nyarko called to find out why she wasn’t back in the house, she informed him that she was outside of Kumasi and was going to put her phone off. She has since not been heard of nor seen.
A police report has been filed and there has been frantic search efforts to find her but to no avail. Several of the team members on the Pakyi campus have been out and have been supporting Mr Nyarko in this efforts, but we are yet to locate her.
I have tried to call Mr Nyarko every couple of hours to check on him and to get updates. I have also assured him of full support from the school in helping to locate her.
Before you react in any fashion, please, pause, and say a word of prayer for both Mr Nyarko and Aunti Philomina..
This is challenging times for Mr Nyarko and for all us.
I must add that Mrs Nyarko has been unwell for some time now and we suspect it was approaching (if not already) a state of depression.
May our God of great miracles superintend over the situation and bring it to a good end!!
Please, feel free to share the message within your network with the enclosed picture. You may also want to use it as your DP or share on your status. We must all do what we can do to contribute to finding her while sustaining Mr Nyarko and his family in our prayers.
Certainly, God is good even when we don’t understand.
May His will prevail! 🙏
