The demonstrations by the National Democratic Congress seems unending following the thousands of aggrieved NDC supporters in the Lower Manya Krobo Constituency of the Eastern Region, protesting against the outcome of the 2020 election results.
According to the Protesters, the election results were flawed and rigged by the Electoral Commission in favour of the governing New Patriotic Party and the President-elect, Nana Akuffo Addo.
The Protesters were led by the National Youth Organizer of the party, George Opare Addo, the Eastern regional youth Organizer, Okai Minta and the constituency executives of the party.
The Protesters are holding varied placards with distinct inscriptions expressing their displeasure against the Electoral Commission of Ghana.
There was a heavy presence of armed military and police personnel guarding the protesters during the demonstration.
The leader and flagbearer of the party, Mr John Dramani Mahama in an earlier statement advised part members and sympathizers to observe a peaceful demonstration.
He advised all members of the party to come out in their numbers to embark on this peaceful demonstration to protect their votes and charged the electoral commission to do what is right.
