NDC race: 4 National Executive Aspirants disqualified as 89 approved



The Vetting Committee responsible for the vetting of the national executives aspiring for  various position in the upcoming National executive election of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) has disqualified four aspirant from contesting the election, MynewsGhana.com has learnt.

The four, Elikem Kototko,Wonder Madilo,Michael Kombor Cecelia Asaga were disqualified for not meeting the “selection criteria” set in the party’s constitution ahead of the November 3 vote.

Out of the ninety three(93) National executive aspirants, eighty-nine(89) were approved by the Vetting committee chaired by General Karl Mode.

After a successful vetting process and balloting, Koku Anyidoho was placed first on the ballot paper in the General Secretary position whiles Samauel Ofosu Ampofo was place second on the ballot in the Chairmanship position,MynewsGhana.com has gathered.

The committee completed  all the vetting process on Sunday, September 23 following which an announcement of eligible candidates were made.

The vetting committee were made up of General Carl Modey, Hon Hajia Laadi Ayi Ayamba, Hon Marrieta Brew Oppong, Hon Kofi Amoatey, Mr. Kofi Adams, Mr. Vincent Kuagbenu, Hon Nii Okaija Adamafio.

The vetting process was held at Trade Fair Center in Accra.
