Can you recall when Nigerian rapper, M.I Abaga made a tweet suggesting that only 2 Ghanaian rappers and 3 South African rappers can stand up to him on their best days?
To the best of M.I’s knowledge, he is second to none on the continent as far as rappers are concerned. He initially gave up and retweeted that he’s second Ghana’s prolific rapper, Sarkodie.
Well, they say real recognise real and M.I. Abaga has joined a list of celebrities across Africa to congratulate Sarkodie on his recent BET win.
M.I after Sarkodie was adjudged the Best International Flow at the 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards took time to celebrate Africa’s rap king for been the first-ever winner in the newly created category at the 2019 BET HipHop Awards, Best International Flow.
M.I. Abaga in the post on Twitter wrote: “Congrats @Sarkodie well and truly well deserved!!!! Long may you continue to reign”
Sarkodie made history as beat competition from Falz (Nigeria), Ghetts (U.K.), Kalash (France), Lil Simz (U.K.), Nasty C (South Africa) and Tory Lanez (Canada) to emerge the winner of the Best International Flow at the 2019 BET HipHop Awards.
