The Inspector-General of Police James Oppong-Buanuh has given Banks in Ghana until the end of June to provide armoured vehicles for the carting of cash.
According to him, he intends to withdraw the services of his men if armoured vehicles are not provided for the purposes of carting cash.
This comes after Constable Emmanuel Osei was shot dead by armed robbers at James Town in Accra when he was detailed to a MonTran bullion Van.
The robbery which took place in broad day light saw the death of another woman who witnessed the incident and raised alarm.
The driver of the vehicle also suffered multiple gunshot wounds and is currently receiving treatment whiles two other bank staff who were able to escape are at the hospital receiving treatment for truma.
