Otumfuo Must Be Given All Taxes From Kumasi-Dr. Agyenim Boateng

Founder and leader of the United Front Party (UFP), Dr. Nana Agyenim Boateng has proposed for the people of Kumasi to pay their taxes to the King of the Asante Region Otumfuo Osei Tutu II instead of paying the tax to the government of Ghana.

According to the leader who was disqualified from standing as a presidential candidate in the just-ended election, there is nothing been done by the government of Ghana for them which leaves them with the only option of turning to their overlord.

Speaking during an interview at Kumasi-based Akoma FM monitored by Mynewsghana he called on all Ashantis to realize that tho they vote massively for the NPP each year, they are one of the regions with the less infrastructure and developments,

He stated saying;

If we want development in the region, we then have to pay royalties on our mineral resources and taxes to Otumfuo. Our traditional rulers are more trustworthy than the government

No King or Chief is directly responsible to fix roads or do any development, and if we want development from them, taxes have to be paid to them

Despite the votes, Ashanti Region is underdeveloped under their own party in power
