The host of Adom FM‘s weekend entertainment show, Mike 2 has surprisingly revealed in a Facebook sighted by Mynewsghana.com that, Ghanaian musician should pay ‘Payola’ PAYOLA – monies (arguably illegal) to some DJs and presenters before their songs get promoted.
Mike Two states in the post that if any artist has the expectation of presenting to him any melodic work to advance for the person in question this year, payola ought to be doubtlessly connected to it.
He aslo stated that it is either the performer will pay him a payola like he paid to record the tune or thoroughly quit being hallucinating that he will play the said tune.
Payola is a payment made to a disc jockey to persuade him or her to play a particular song. Most musicians have complained that the practice is unfair, costing them their career since their songs never get the popularity they deserve.
