It has come to our notice that, minorities in parliament yesterday boycotted the swearing in of the new elected member of parliament for the Ayawaso West Wuogon, Lydia Seyram Alhassan .
This is unfair, insensitive and senseless by the minority in parliament and an insult to our democracy.
Just a few days ago, the former President who was on campaign desperately to be elect as flagbearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama just reminded Ghanaians by saying, Ndc party was born out of revolution and when it comes to unleashing violent no one can beat them.
So I wonder why today they were calling Hon Lydia Seyram Alhassan as a bloody Widow. Is it that they for got so soon? Do they have short memory as former President John Dramani Mahama told Ghanaians? Did they soon forgot how Baba Jamal got him self in to parliament with blood stained in his hands? Or should we remind them how bloody Samuel Abdulai Jabanyite got him self elected on 29th February 2009 at Chereponi by-election? Not to talk of BT Baba who was elected on the 7th July 2015.
No amount of insult and intimidation will scare us from contesting any seat we find it available to contest.
