Police detain gun brandishing brothers; pump-action gun retrieved

The Ghana Police Service says it has arrested and detained three young men who were seen in videos brandishing guns.

In a viral video on social media, four young men were seen brandishing their pump action gun and twop pistols.

They were heard saying “everybody should run away”.

These four persons were tagged to be armed robbers by social media users who called on the Police to arrest them and prosecute them for various crimes.

But they later in videos shared on social media denied claims of been armed robbers and later moved on to curse people who are linking them to armed robbery.

They indicated that they procured the guns as a form to protection from attacks at a galamsey site they used to work at.

But in the latest development, Police in Obuasi has indicated that three were picked up at Gausu, a suburb of Obuasi whiles one is said to be in the Northern region and a pump-action gun with 5 blunk cartridges retrieved from them.

After interrogations, the three who are Rev. Alfred Dakorah aged 43, Founder and Overseer of God’s Time Ministry, Emmanuel Dakorah known popularly as Obour aged 26 and Richard Suleman aged 28 were detained to aid Police in its investigation.
