Release: Addai Nimo Breaks Silence On Flagbearership Rumours

The attention of the Office of Hon Francis Addai-Nimoh has been drawn to a publication making rounds with the above-captioned heading which is attributed to on the 9th of July, 2018.
We wish to call on all well-meaning Ghanaians to disregard the said information.
According to the said publication, Hon Francis Addai-Nimoh held the meeting being alleged on Friday 6th July. This is completely false because Hon Francis Addai-Nimoh arrived at the delegates conference in the morning of Saturday 7th July, the day the conference was held and left on Sunday 8th July in the morning. I want to state emphatically that the Hon Addai-Nimoh has neither met with the Brong Ahafo regional chairman nor Mr. Alan Kyeremanteng at any point prior to, during or after the conference to have the discussions being alleged in the wryly written story. It is therefore not out of place to say the entire story is a product of fake news gone bad!
The presidential ambition of Hon Addai-Nimoh remains intact however, he has not arrived at any decision as to whether or not to contest in 2020. The decision to do so will be purely based on circumstances of the time.
Per our tradition as a party, sitting presidents are not contested as in the case of President Kufuor in 2007 and so Hon Addai-Nimoh does not intend to break this enviable tradition. This is a position he has made very clear on many platforms times without number.
At the moment, our focus is on how to help our government to succeed. The records of this government will be a springboard for anyone be it Addai-Nimoh or any candidate in future to prosecute his campaign. Thus, any attempt to undermine this government ought to be rejected by all party people.
As and when he decides to contest to become flagbearer of our cherished party, he will use the right platform to announce to the whole world. Until then, we want to state without equivocation and once more, that any such news item, information, speculations, etc making rounds are contrived, false, unfounded, malicious and must as such be treated with the greatest contempt it deserves. We know these tactics are the handiworks of his detractors to cause revulsion towards him in the eyes of good-thinking party people. Very soon we shall make public the names of the faceless cowards behind these malevolent attempts to soil the reputation of Hon Addai-Nimoh.
All news portals carrying any such stories on the matter herein discussed are kindly requested to pull down such malicious stories targeted at tarnishing the hard-earned reputation of Hon Francis Addai-Nimoh.
