Stat attack: All you need to know about West Brom 3-0 Southampton

West Brom kept their slim Premier League survival hopes alive with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Southampton at The Hawthorns.

The Baggies picked up back-to-back wins for the first time this season but remain eight points from safety with just seven games left to play.

Mathues Pereira and Matt Phillips put Sam Allardyce’s men 2-0 up at the break before Callum Robinson added a third midway through the second half.

Despite a lacklustre performance, Ralph Hasenhuttl’s sorry Saints remain 10 points clear of Fulham in the final relegation spot, and 12 clear of West Brom

Only Peter Odemwingie (22 in 2010-11), Romelu Lukaku (21 in 2012-13) and Saido Berahino (15 in 2014-15) have had a hand in more goals in a Premier League campaign for the Baggies than  Pereira in 2020-21 (13 – 8 goals, 5 assists).

Sam Johnstone became the first West Brom goalkeeper to save a penalty in the Premier League since Boaz Myhill vs Man Utd in May 2015.
