The health of Gregory Afoko the man accused of killing former Upper East Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Alhaji Adams Mahama in 2015 keeps deteriorating by the day as the state has now moved him to Nsawam following failing eyesight.
Apart from the eyesight that is failing him, Urologist’s assessment of him indicates that “his health problems are much worse than the lipoma in his arm…..not being able to walk around, confined to that tiny space has caused weight gain, glucose intolerance.
Cardiac failure among others. His low testosterone levels have made his bones brittle…his cholesterol level is also raised and blood pressure is quite high”.
Gregory although hasn’t been sentenced was transferred to the Nsawam Maximum prison on June 17, 2021.
Gregory Afoko although not sentenced has been refused bail regardless of the effort made by his Lawyers.
Alhaji Mahama suffered severe bodily injuries after a substance suspected to be acid was allegedly poured on him in front of his house in Bolgatanga on May 20, 2015.
He later died from the injuries at the Bolgatanga General Hospital.
