Ghanaian international Thomas Partey has signed for Arsenal Football Club.
The player joins the Gunners from Atlético Madrid after close to a decade in Spain.
Arsenal activated his release clause of €50m after failing to get Atlético Madrid to reduce the price.
The Ghanaian midfielder has signed a 4 years contract with the Gunners, from now till June 2025
Thomas Partey joined the youth side of Atletico Madrid in 2011 from his hometown club Odometah FC, in Krobo Odumase, Ghana.
He played for the youth team and was shipped on loan to Mallorca and Almeria in 2013 and 2014 respectively before returning to join the first team of Atlético in 2015.
He leaves Madrid to London with two trophies, the UEFA Europa League, 2018 and UEFA Super Cup, 2018.
