Those demanding for roads to be fixed now are ‘colo’ – Roads Minister

Roads and Highways Minister Hon. Kwaku Ofori Asiamah has observed people demanding that roads are fixed in Ghana are far behind.

According to him, the Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo led administration started fixing roads when they took over governance of Ghana in 2017.

To him, people who ask that roads are fixed in the country have been left behind and need to redouble their steps in order to catch up with the country.

“When roads were been fixed from January 2017 with speed without sacrificing quality, four, five years on we should fix roads? You are late, you are far behind. Get up and run and catch up with us because we’ve gone far.”

The youth of Ghana are demanding accountability from is leaders with the #fixthecountry trend. Their demands include the construction of roads across the country in order to prevent road carnage which has become characteristic of roads in the country.
