The Bawku Central Mosque has received 1000 cement bags from the Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, a donation which was done on behalf of the vice president by the Deputy Upper East Regional Minister Hon. Frank Adongo.
The donations come amidst promises that the Vice President made to the people of Bawku to help in the completion of the mosque when he had a prayer session on the day of Ramadan as part of his thank you tour to the region.
In an addressing statement the Deputy Upper East Regional Minister Hon. Frank Adongo said the 1,000 bags of cement is meant to fast-track the completion of the central mosque since it was a promise meant to be fulfilled by the Vice President.
He added that the government is working to fulfill the campaign promises made to Ghanaians during their campaign prior to the 2016 elections, and Bawku is no exception. Mr. Frank Adongo said the free Senior High School policy is one among many promises the government has already fulfilled.
He, however, use the opportunity to edge the people of Bawku to live peacefully among themselves and equally asked them to pray for the country and the ruling government to keep up with the good work done and continue to fulfill its promises.
