VIDEO: How Kumasi ‘Sakawa’ boys mourned their colleague killed over Range Rover

Scores of colleagues of the 23-year-old who was last week killed in Kumasi after unveiling a brand new Range Rover at the weekend blocked some major roads in the Ashanti Regional Capital Kumasi to mourn him his residence at Kronum Abuohia.

The 23-year-old Akwasi Boakye reported to be engaged in Sakawa was shot dead by unknown assailants a day after he unveiled a brand-new Range Rover days earlier which left several tongues wagging

Pure Fm’s Osei Kwadwo who visited the scene reports that the deceased who found dead in a pool of blood.

Some roads which were blocked by colleagues of the deceased include the Abrepo Junction to Suame Roundabout and Suame to Kronum.

They disregarded traffic lights, creating a traffic jam in the already congested city with the aim of getting to the deceased’s house on time to mourn him and the family.

According to Pure Fm’s Osei Kwadwo, MTTD personnel who were on the road could not control the situation due to the attitude and the action of the ‘Sakawa’ boys.

They appeared to be heavily drunk while others were spotted smoking cigarette and dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp as part of their frustration following the death of their colleague.

The body of the deceased has since been deposited at Komfo Anokye Teaching hospital for autopsy while Suame Police Command has commenced investigation into the matter.
