A founding member of the largest opposition party National Democratic Congress(NDC), Hon. George Kuntu Blankson has accused the New Patriotic Party(NPP) of originating the introduction of monecracy in the electoral system of the country.
The former Member of Parliament for Ekumfi constituency believes the introduction of monecracy in the electoral system will crush the democratic credentials of the country if care is not taken.
“The democracy of the country will crush in 15 years down the lane if we are not careful.The introduction of money into democracy is destroying the fabric of the tenant and the principle oft e basic that this democratic came about” he was captured by Mynewsghana.com
Mr. Blankson was reacting to the arrival of the 275 buses promised by the Acting Chairman of NPP, Mr. Freddie Blay ahead of the partys’ National Annual Delegate Conference slated for 6th to 8th July, 2018 at Koforidua.
Freddy Blay, one of the candidates of the national chairman position promised to give one bus each to all constituencies in Ghana totalling 275 buses.
Three days to the Congress, opponents of the acting chairman have questioned the whereabout of the much talked about cars.
Mynewsghana.com reported and confirmed the arrival of the buses at Tema harbour on Wednesday.
But reacting to the arrival of the 275 buses on Accra basd radio station on Thursday, July 5, 2018 monitored by Mynewsghana.com , Kuntu Blankson chastised Mr. Blay for buying 275 buses for the party ahead of the party National Annual Delegate Confernce.
